Why doesn’t it match the car’s display?
The pump measures what actually went into the tank; the car estimates from its own sensors, and most dashes read a few percent high.
Dash accuracy is off by default Turn it on in Settings → Display → Charts & stats to log what the car’s display said.
One tank can also be off either way, since the pump clicks off at a slightly different point each time: your average over several tanks is the number to trust.

To see your car’s own error, turn on Dash accuracy (off by default) in Settings → Display → Charts & stats and type the dash’s figure at each fill-up: each tank then shows what the car’s display said and how far off it reads. Most dashes read a few percent high.
